Welcome and thanks to Marian of Seams to be Sew for another great hop!
This year I’m continuing with working from my stash. Last year I bought the Mr. Bones glow panel from Timeless Treasures and decided I’d use that for my project.
There was a fence border around the skeleton that I removed. I also used two blocks from Electric Quilt (EQ7, soon to be EQ8), Check Corner 88 and Check Border 8A.
I think he looks cute. I still have to get the borders around it. I’ll update this post when I do.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I wanted to share with you some pictures I took over the Spring and Summer.
Spring and Summer are my favorite times of the year.
I love Fall too but not much for Winter.
I’m not much for the cold and all the snow.
Though I admit the snow is quite beautiful.
Driving in the snow is the worst. So not looking forward to it. Seems nobody knows what they are doing anymore.
But, Spring and Summer are gone.
Fall is here and soon it will be Winter.
Soon it will be Christmas too.
Oops, last week totally got away from me. I spent it doing ‘Mom’ things and dealing with a cold. Didn’t get to do anything sewing or diy related. However, I thought you’d like to see what my errand day with my sweet pie was like.

Lot of things happening this week. It always seems to be that way. I wanted to write you a post to show some of what’s been going on. I hope as the year moves on the writing part of my blog will not only get better but easier for me. So I will plan to write weekly a post that I am calling my Mid Week Status. Regardless of my procrastination I will have that.

It’s be a while since I’ve posted. I have a good excuse for that. I originally wanted to take a break over Christmas to give some thought of the direction wanted to take my blog. My plan was to do nothing but just think and work on the Wooly blocks, the ones from various Quilt Shops participating in the Wooly Block Adventure. Well, what happen was something totally different and what I needed. As a result, I didn’t get very far with those Wooly blocks.

The Virtual Cookie Exchange is a sweet hop hosted annually by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. I’m so excited to be a part of this fun hop for a 2nd time. Thanks so much for hosting Carol.
You can see my post from last year here.
I mentioned last year I have 3 cookies I like to make each Christmas season. Last year I shared with you Gingerbread Men. This year I’m sharing Chocolate Chip Cookies, Santa’s favorite. It’s a recipe that I altered over 20 years ago from a cookbook my sister-in-law had. I don’t remember the name of the cookbook. Continue reading “Virtual Cookie Exchange 2016 Day 2”

A few weeks ago, after some over night rain, I had a ton of birds in my yard. Most of them were hunting for the worms that come to the surface after a storm.
This little caught my attention. Not because he was different. He looked like all the other Robins in the yard. It was because he was the best at snagging worms. Continue reading “In the Garden…….”
