Color It Red Blog Hop

Welcome to day 2 of the Color It Red Blog Hop hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to use the lay cake Little Sweetheart by Laundry Basket Quilts that I have been saving….

to make the pattern Sweetheart also by Laundry Basket Quilts.

I had every intention of finishing but with work and home improvement projects, that didn’t happen. It is a simple project so I’m sure I will be able to finish it soon.

The fabrics are just beautiful. I used Little Sweetheart for the hearts. The background fabrics are a mix of Little Sweetheart and various other fabrics from Edyta Sitars other fabric lines.

Turning the edges under, then using fusible web, and then hand stitching the edges down with the button stitch is becoming my favorite method.

I need to make a couple more blocks and then finish the stitching. Then I can sew the blocks together.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a lovely day of hopping!

Day 11 of 31 Days of Blog Writing….Most Impactful Class

Today’s prompt is most impactful class. I don’t have a impactful class story. I’ve taken classes that mostly involve a project. In the few I’ve taken I didn’t really learn anything that I would call impactful. That doesn’t mean that they were awful classes. Most were fun. It’s just I don’t take many ‘learn to’ classes.
