This year I’m sharing a recipe that came from my Grandma’s recipe book that I received after she pasted 19yrs ago. I was surprised she had any cookbooks cause I never knew to bake anything other than cornbread.
Welcome to my day of the Stitch It and Gift It Blog Hop. Thanks so much to Carla of Creatin in the Sticks for hosting. It’s been great to see all the stitched gifts so far.
For this hop I wanted to try something I’ve never done before, a zip pouch. I’m probably one of the few who has never made one. Things with zippers have always intimidated me.Continue reading “Stitch It and Gift It Blog Hop”
Today is Day 1 of Nifty Novelties Blog Hop! I excited to be back to blogging and blog hopping.

As soon as this hop was announced I knew I had to join. I also knew what quilt to make. Around four years or so ago I designed several paper peiced diamond quilts just for fun.
Today is the first day of the All About Strings Blog Hop. Thanks so much to Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks for hosting.
I have never made a strings quilt before. So after researching on how they are made I went to my EQ8 and began to play around with a few design ideas.
Looking back, from the time I started quilting, I can’t really say I’ve made something really crazy. Unless you count the time I made a fish head costume for my son. I wish I had pictures of that, lol. But, that was not a ‘quilting’ thing anyway.
Thanks so much Carol of Just Let Me Quilt for being such a great hostess.
When Carol first announced this hop I knew right away what pattern I wanted to make and with what fabric. Feathers by The Pattern Basket and Sequoia fabric line by Edyta of Laundry Basket Quilts. I had both in my stash. I bought the pattern last year with the idea when I was feeling better I would try to piece it.
