July 4th Tablescape….Country Simplicity

I don’t do a lot of formal table settings. Mostly casual around here, July 4th will be no different.

I use tablecloths a lot, even when the table is not set. Most because of the dust. It’s a terrible problem here in Colorado.  I have a farmhouse like table that is painted black. (I totally love black.) It came with a leaf that expands it into a square. I’ve had this table for many years and I still love it.  My dining area is small, so I use benches for seating mostly for that reason. Regardless of space I am planning to add a chairs to the mix. I love the mismatched look and have collected a few. Now I just need to commit on a fabric choice.

Daffodils, Daisies and a Tammy Bag

 
 
Last week I put together a simple floral arrangement to compliment a Tammy Bag that I finally got the frame sewn on. As I cropping and framing photos to post pics for the Meet and Greet I participated in last Friday, I began to collage some of my favorites.

Meet & Greet Stitchers Around the World……

Thanks for stopping by today! I’m so excited to introduce myself and share a few of my favorite projects. Thanks Mdm Samm for putting this Meet and Greet together.
 

My name is Theresa and I come from a family of stitchers and sewers. Oddly enough, no one taught me how to stitch. I did however spend many hours watching my mom as she stitched and lots of time admiring my Great Aunt’s many embroidered blocks and quilts.This is were my love for stitching began.
