July 4th Tablescape….Country Simplicity

I don’t do a lot of formal table settings. Mostly casual around here, July 4th will be no different.

I use tablecloths a lot, even when the table is not set. Most because of the dust. It’s a terrible problem here in Colorado.  I have a farmhouse like table that is painted black. (I totally love black.) It came with a leaf that expands it into a square. I’ve had this table for many years and I still love it.  My dining area is small, so I use benches for seating mostly for that reason. Regardless of space I am planning to add a chairs to the mix. I love the mismatched look and have collected a few. Now I just need to commit on a fabric choice.

I love the simplicity of baby’s breath in a vintage mason jar.

Aren’t these cupcake holders too cute. A Tuesday Morning find.

My place mats are crocheted. Not sure how old they are. Found them last year at a thrift store for a few dollars.

The dishes I picked up several months ago also at Tuesday Morning.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. I love those little cupcake holders. So cute! The rooster plates are so fun. We used to keep chickens. Hope you had a nice 4th. Joni
