Finally got some time to get this post out. Better late than never. I had a little time last week to work on my Bittersweet block. It’s January’s block from the book Prairie Flower by Barbara Brackman.
Last night I worked on my cross stitch project the Winter Queen by Mirabilia. The last post on this I talked about having to pull out some of the white stitches cause I used the wrong white. I really have been overwhelmed with completing DIY projects here in and outside the house this summer. Even with that I need to take some time to complete my UFO’s as well. I have a few really old ones. As I blogged about in my last post for my last FNSI results I’ve been working on my Prairie Flower blocks. I think I have it figure out now which direction I want to take with my blog. For over a year now I’ve been the blog hop and FNSI gal. I want to change that. Not to say that I won’t participate anymore in those wonderful groups but I really want to move in the direction of all things home.
So to start with idea I have put together a very simple tablescape. Here at my house are always on a budget. I believe pretty can be done on a budget. Just because at this moment in time things are as they are doesn’t mean that I can’t have pretty.

Wendy did a great job on this bag, I love it. It’s larger than I thought would be and has lots of inside pockets.
