Meet & Greet Stitchers Around the World……

Thanks for stopping by today! I’m so excited to introduce myself and share a few of my favorite projects. Thanks Mdm Samm for putting this Meet and Greet together.

My name is Theresa and I come from a family of stitchers and sewers. Oddly enough, no one taught me how to stitch. I did however spend many hours watching my mom as she stitched and lots of time admiring my Great Aunt’s many embroidered blocks and quilts. This is were my love for stitching began.

Blog It Saturday & Initial Heart Swap

Thearica over at Stitch and Quilt hosts a Blog It Saturday in which each Saturday she picks a topic to blog about, then you write up a post on that topic and link that post up. I think it’s a great idea. Today’s topic is our Valentine’s gifts. This could be any gift, even ones’ we buy for ourselves. (lol……you know we do!) So if you don’t have a Valentine you can still join in.

A Year of Lovely Finishes……..February Goals

Well, I didn’t make a finish for January so I’m trying again for February.

One thing I realized last month is that I’m not the best hand quilter. Not that I didn’t already have a clue but I’ve never finished a quilt this size with hand quilting. Those between needles are just too tiny to hold and I just can’t rock the needle. (You know, I don’t really remember my mom or my grandmothers rocking the needle. Hmmm) Oh well, I am making progress and I have confidence that I will have a finish for February.
