Today is the last day of the Blog Hops with Carol of Just Let Me Quilt and Joan of MooseStashQuilting. Thank you so much for all the work yal have put into these Hops over the years.
I spent some time looking over my Blog Hop journey and all the projects, finished and unfinished. If you have time to view that post, you’ll find it here.
So I thought I’d do the same for the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange. For these Virtual Cookie Exchange always felt like something separate from the rest of the Hops.

Now for my project for 2024
For my project I decided to put together the apron kit I had in my stash. I have no idea when I bought it. It is called Cocoa Sweet Apron Panel by Danielle Lane for Wilmington Prints. You can see here that I did get it from High Country Quilts in Colorado Springs but I know it’s been at least 3yrs ago.

Like most panels the printed image wasn’t straight, so that made it a little hard to sew. Before I washed the panel I decided to serge the edges hoping that it would help the fabric to not get to warpy. It helped, didn’t notice any movement. I don’t know if anyone else has tried that.

I think the apron turned out cute. Not crazy about the pocket. There wasn’t really any place to put it but at the bottom. When I’m feeling motivated I most likely will remove it. Other than that, it’s all good.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope this has been a great week of hopping for everyone.

Oh, Michelle, I read both blog hops and found them to be a wonderful journey of memories with you. We’ve hung out together for a lot of years! I love this sweet apron…great way to use a panel. The goodies on the fabric look good enough to eat. I’m glad that you’ve found your way to a better life. Thank you for all the memories! xo

LJ here. The apron is perfect; I do agree that the pocket looks out of place. I like the idea of taking it off. What a cute apron and one that you’ll use during the Christmas season as well as other times. The pictures of your cookies have made me salivate – I must make some more cookies. Thank you for joining in this last blog hop served up by Carol.

Your welcome! Serging helped, cut fabric moves a lot in the washer. Hope it works for you.

So many yummy treats you have shared over the years. I love your apron. Great tip on panels. I have quite a few that I haven’t ever turned into quilts, so I might just serge them all and throw them in the washer first. Thanks for playing with us and have a wonderful holiday season.
