As soon as this hop was announced I knew I had to join. I also knew what quilt to make. Around four years or so ago I designed several paper pieced diamond quilts just for fun.
One of those I had already made for a previous hop. You can see it here.
This quilt is a variation of one of the several diamond quilts I designed.
Like most of the quilts I make it’s not quilted. I never really know how I want to quilt them. That is my next challenge.
Every time I lay my quilts down on the floor the kitties want to roll and lay on them.
Thanks to Carol of Just Let Me Quilt for hosting this fun Diamond hop.
I’m so glad you stopped by. Have a fun day of Blog Hopping!

This is really striking and your kitty is beautiful. The diamond top will make a great quilt and the kitties will love it even more when it is snuggly! 🙂

Your quilt is wonderful. I like the runner you linked to also. You do a lot of great quilting.
I hopped around a bit on your pages, and enjoyed everything .
I find there’s a moment or two in every quilt, where I struggle a bit. What color border? What type? How do I quilt this? Eventually it comes to us.
I’m sure you will figure it out, and it will be perfect.

It’s a beautiful quilt, and a wonderful example of the use of diamonds in quilting. I’m sure sometime you’ll decide what you want to do on it. After a while, if you don’t, pick a nice pantograph and use it! Or let your quilter decide what to do. Or your pocketbook. =)

What a great pattern! I like its clean lines, and the way the focus fabric is focused. You really need to quilt this one. Why not just run several rows of zigzag lines parallel to the black. They’d intersect between the focus diamonds, bringing even more attention to those. When that’s finished, work something in the diamonds themselves, maybe a dot to dot design, and you’d be done. Definitely doable on a domestic machine with a walking foot.

Wonderful top. I think you could quilt a few ways – emphasize the black or the white space or the diamonds OR even the orange diamonds. Of course an allover wave in mimicking the movement would work too. many choices. Look forward to seeing your conclusion!
