For me this hop was last minute. I had signed up but somehow there was a mix up and my name was missed. But, it all worked out and I was added in around the end of last week.
Of course, that meant I had the weekend to get my project done. But, I was up for the challenge.
I’m a late getting this post up but better late than never I guess. It was a busy January. Regardless, I was able to make some progress on my UFO.
January’s number to work on was 7. Celtic Hearts was my 7th project listed. Though I have stated this before I feel I must say this again. I’m not crazy about hand quilting. When I had first made the decision to hand quilt I was excited to give it a try. Didn’t take long for me to realize hand quilting is not for me. My guess this is why this project became a UFO.
Today is the first day of the Black and White Blog Hop hosted by Carla of Creatin in the Sticks. It’s going to be a fantastic day of awesome quilters and sewers.
As I sat writing this post and thinking about the year that has passed, I wonder were did the time go. I mean, for me it’s just not a new year to come but I also turn 50 in about a week. Wow, where has the time gone. There is this idea that you reach a certain age and that we just look back and think “wow, it’s been a long life”. I don’t feel any different than I did in my twenties or thirties. It doesn’t feel like I should be here already. Time flies and because it does, it’s like age just snuck up on me.
Well, it’s that time to make some new goals. Past history has taught me that I’m not good at keeping New Years goals. But, maybe that is the point of making them. To learn something each year about ourselves that helps us grow. So this year I’m going to focus on each one-one at a time. That’s why I’m going to join Judy from Patchwork Times for her 2019 UFO Challenge. I don’t have to look at my list as a whole but one project at a time.
