I’ve been told for years that I should try paper piecing. They said “you’ll love it”! You know what? Everybody was right, I love it! At first it was a little confusing getting the placement of the fabric right. I had to cut the tape measure strip…3 x’s. After I got the fabric flipped in my head right, it was okay! Besides this BOM, I’m definitely will be doing more paper piecing!

Dare to Dresden Blog Hop

Yay! Today’s my day. Thanks to Christine over at Quilt Monster In My Closet for cheerleading this hop and to Mdm Samm as well!
I have to admit that I have never done a dresden plate before. I actually like them and I think I’ll probably do more now that I think I got the hang of it. This dresden wall hanging I designed in my EQ7 program. I had to keep it simple cause I’m still learning how to use my EQ7.

How I love applique, let me count the ways……..
When it comes to quilting/sewing it’s no secret, I love applique and embroidery. When I first started quilting (over 10 years ago) applique was my main reason. I love it and one thing is for sure, what ever we do in life and want to it do well, we have to love it. That drives us to spend the time we need to learn to do it well. If we don’t love it, we don’t spend the time and we only do it okay, if we are lucky.

Coach Lights Makeover

About a couple of months ago I took down our coach lights and gave them a makeover. I have a ton of projects it feels like going on so I was finally able to get them spray painted and hung back up a few weeks ago. They are still in great working order but were looking rather worn, so a little makeover was all they needed. So I gave them a good cleaning, then used painters tape and some newspaper to cover the glass.
