Thanks to Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks for hosting a fun Blog Hop. As soon as I saw the sign ups I wanted to join. The kitchen is my favorite room in the house.
I have been wanting to replace our kitchen window blinds for cafe curtains and just needed a little push.
I had fabric some from my stash that I thought would be perfect for Spring/Summer curtains.
It took about 2-3 hours to sew. They are not lined, just simple and easy cotton panels.
I’m going to live with them for a while and decide if they need some embellishment like ruffles on the bottom.
For now I love them. They make me happy. I’m content to just enjoy the simplicity.

I love them as simple with no frills. But that’s my style. They would look just as cute with a ruffle or lace. You remind me that my own kitchen window could use a new simple curtain.

This blog hop has made me look at my sewing and decorating to update my kitchen with very little expense. Seriously, what quilter doesn’t have a large stash for raw materials and now these posts on how to customize and accessorize the kitchen.
Your post of curtains made me think of my tired old valance that was store bought and not very appealing but had blue in it to match walls, flooring and wallpaper border. Time for an upgrade..

Beautiful curtains. I actually have a kitchen window that I have yet to put curtains in yet because I just cant seems to figure out what I want. Your projects gives me ideas. I think the simple panels are wonderful.
