Hello Fall Blog Hop

Today is my day to show for the Hello Fall Blog Hop hosted by Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks.

I’m excited to show you my project. I had so much fun sewing it up.

I follow Margot-The Pattern Basket on Instagam and a couple of years ago she released the design Pumpkin Seeds. I’ve wanted to make it ever since. So because of this hop I decided now was the time to do it.

The pattern calls for two Charm Squares so I used All Hallow’s Eve by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics and Perfect Union by Edyta Sitar for Andover Fabrics. Then I added several fabrics that I had in my stash. I think it turned out beautiful.

I think my piecing skills are getting better cause I didn’t have near the trouble I normally do. I did cut my borders incorrectly and wasn’t able to get them sewn on. The fabric I used for the white areas was from my stash and is from the Sweetwater Co. It’s called Overnight Delivery and is from 2018. At first I had a bit of a panic. As luck would have it though I was able to find some last night on Primitive Gatherings website. So I placed an order and now I’m waiting. So once I get it I will be able to add the borders. I could have just used different fabric but once I get something in my head the way I want it it can be a struggle to stray. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy today’s bloggers. Visit Carla at Creatin’ in the Sticks for her giveaway.

  1. This is a wonderful Hello Fall pattern choice. Your fabric picks are right on. Hopefully you’ll get your border fabric in time to finish for this fall.

  2. I love that pumpkin seeds pattern, also. So nice to see it the way you have presented it! Plus, I totally understand your wanting to use the same fabric. A lot of times, I am like that myself. Your quilt top turned out beautiful!

  3. This really is a beauty and one I’d like to make…love it! The colors are fabulous and worth waiting for the extra fabric to finish. Thank you for sharing this lovely quilt, Theresa!
