Thanks to Bea of Beaquilter for getting this hop together.
For me this hop was last minute. I had signed up but somehow there was a mix up and my name was missed. But, it all worked out and I was added in around the end of last week.
Of course, that meant I had the weekend to get my project done. But, I was up for the challenge.
The book I picked out for my project out of Eleanor Burns book ‘Ice Cream Cone Quilt’. I had bought this book back when my boys were little with the intention of making it for them. Well, never got around to that. lol They are in their 20’s now and not interested in a ice cream cone quilt. So I decided to now is a good time to make it for me.
She has a video where she explains how to make the quilt.
It snowed most of the day yesterday so I didn’t get outside to get pictures. Hopefully, I am able to do that today. I do have one picture I took after laying out the blocks. With the weather outside it’s hard to get good pictures inside.
I used Batiks from my stash for the ice cream and I found some cute fabric at my local quilt shop for the rest of the quilt. The background fabric is a confetti print by Hoffman fabrics called ‘Celebrate Good Times’ I think it works great for this quilt.
Thanks so much for visiting today.
Hi Michelle, that looks like a really yummy quilt – so fun!

Such a cute quilt. You are lucky to have it for yourself. I will look at the video and maybe make this quilt for my daughter’s niece.

It is a little cold outside for ice cream, but that turned out to be a really cute quilt. It was on my list of quilts to make too until my daughter grew out of it. Good for you for following along with your plans!
