FNSI Results & Slow Stitching Sunday

I spent a lovely night of sewing. I choose not to work on my usual project, Winter Queen. I’m a place where I need to move it on the hoop. The hoop’s not large enough. The hoop will be laying over the stitching. I really don’t want that so I have decided I’d give Q-Snap a try. I ordered a 11×17 last week, now I’m just waiting. That size should be large enough. I’ve heard the tension on these Q-Snaps are not as tight as a hoop. When cross stitching I don’t use as tight a tension as I do when I embroider. So I’m figuring a Q-Snap frame should be okay for my cross stitching. I’ll see.

Friday night I worked on a UFO BOM Baltimore Halloween. I needed to finish appliqueing down a spider and the bats. I managed to get that last spider done and two bats. I can’t sit for too long so half way through I decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies. Those are a favorite around here. I’m sad to say that I don’t have any pictures of those. They always get ate as fast as they come out of the oven.

Today I’ll spend some time getting the other two bats appliqued down.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  1. I love that block. I’ll have to look out for the pattern, if it ever comes out over here. I know what you mean about home made cookies. Mine get eaten straight form the oven too. They don’t even have a chance to cool down
