A Very Simple Tablescape

For most of you, you have no idea how much I love tablescapes. I’ve always wanted to post on them but wasn’t sure being a sewing blog. I think I have it figure out now which direction I want to take with my blog. For over a year now I’ve been the blog hop and FNSI gal. I want to change that. Not to say that I won’t participate anymore in those wonderful groups but I really want to move in the direction of all things home.

So to start with idea I have put together a very simple tablescape. Here at my house are always on a budget. I believe pretty can be done on a budget. Just because at this moment in time things are as they are doesn’t mean that I can’t have pretty.

I used a lot of what I already have. One thing I’ve learned being on a budget, is that you should always buy what works with your style. Even if it’s only .50 cents, that way you always have something to put together that’s your style.

I had everything already with exception of place mats and the runner. They come from the $1 store. They are so pretty.

 

I didn’t have any bunnies. I’m a frog collector and I’ve been recently made aware of the fact that frogs in the Bible represent unclean spirits. I didn’t know this when I was putting my tablescape together. This good though that I did this without knowing cause the cross is for the unclean, all of us, me included.

 
 
 
 
 

All together I spent around $15

$5 for the place mats and runner
$9.99 for the flowers (I splurged for them 🙂 )
Everything else was from around the house.

I think it’s very simply pretty.

Your tablescape certainly doesn't look like it was done on a budget….very nice! and I could never knock the dollar store…Says the woman who just bought a quilt and 2 pieces of artwork all from the dollar general….I hit that store at least once a month. I adore those blue glasses on your table by the way!
