Pin It Hop….My Day

My project I can’t total credit for. My husband actually worked with me on this. I wanted to make a target and he said I should make a medieval target. I thought that was a great idea. Something kinda old world, like out of Robin Hood. I told him he was going to have to help me, so he made the target stand and I stained it. Of course I made the pin, he doesn’t sew, unless it’s a costume. lol

It was fun designing a project together.

The arrows are actually jewelry charms I got at Hobby Lobby. They where silver and I changed the color to gold.

I made the target with four sizes of circles that I appliqued on top of each other with the blanket stitch. I wanted to edges to look worn so I didn’t worry about accuracy with my stitches or bias edges.

The end project is exactly what I had envisioned. This was a fun project and after seeing all the wonderful pins on the hop I definitely will be making more.

  1. How cute is that to have the arrows to go with your target! It worked out perfectly with the stand. You and hubby were right on target with this pincushion.
